 “Seven months after we met we just kind of decided over text that we were going to get married. It sounds crazy but it just felt like the easiest thing ever.  This event was my baby! I’m so passionate about authentic marketing that doesn’t just shout about girl power without actually doing anything to empower girls. When we shot one of our recent campaigns, it was heartbreaking to see half the girls we cast struggling with anxiety or mental health issues - from severe self harm scars to panic attacks over not being pretty enough. We decided to launch #wahSELFLOVE as our Valentine’s campaign, empowering girls and arming them with the tools to practice self love, whilst donating 10% of our proceeds to @mindcharity 💙 To launch the campaign I wanted to create an event that brought girls together to talk about self love and to celebrate themselves. I asked a group of inspirational women @gracefvictory @theslumflower @pieandfash to talk on a panel about their journeys and struggles and they were amazing enough to agree. SO MANY girls turned up, shared their stories and lifted each other up, there was laughter and there were tears, but the most important thing was that we were all talking openly about mental health 💖 I’ve since received so many messages from girls telling me how much they needed it, even if they hadn’t realised. We really want to do more to keep the momentum going, perhaps with a monthly event or meet up, each with a panel talking about different issues. Sometimes you just need a safe space to feel empowered and supported 💖 #wahSELFLOVE video by @msashleighjadee 📸

 SO GOOD 🙌🏼 so proud of this global stand and that I got to be part of it 💖🚺💖 I am SO passionate about women’s empowerment and intersectionality. It’s becoming increasingly important to me that I use my voice, my work and my platform to speak out AND to elevate the voice of those less able or less privileged. Today was an inspiration and the start of a long journey #womensmarch
